Aspergers Disorder
Asperger's Syndrome (AS) is a complicated developmental disorder that affects an children and adults primarily in the areas of social interaction and communication. Individuals do not have as extreme of early developmental delays but are still characterized by social isolation and eccentric behavior in childhood. Together AS and Autism are part of the Pervasive Developmental Delay area. Over 1 million Americans - children and adults - are thought to have autism today.
