The Importance of Play with Children!
There are many ways a parent can help their child through emotional struggles. But before you try asking your child a bunch of questions and they make the universal reply of “I don’t know”, play with your child. Even in counseling, we cannot directly ask children questions, we would get shut down as well. That is why we use play therapy and Theraplay.
Are We Increasing the Development of Eating Disorders?
At this time anorexia and bulimia are becoming more common and sadly, its victims are younger. It used to be most commonly found in adolescent girls but now it's prevalent in girls who are in elementary school. There are numerous factors that contribute to the development of an eating disorder, poor body image being one of them. Why do young girls start worrying about their weight? To answer that, parents (mostly mothers) need to ask themselves how they feel about their own body.

Behavior Therapy May Lower Need for ADHD Drugs!
Most kids who are treated for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder take stimulant medications, but new research suggests that the need for these drugs can be reduced dramatically in those who get behavioral therapy as well.
